Going and Growing Globally

Our mission at Grace Central Coast is to celebrate, proclaim, and live the Gospel of Jesus Christ on the Central Coast and beyond. Our commitment to and involvement in fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) is one of the ways in which we are effective in living out our mission.

If we are to advance the Great Commission, we must give special attention to those people groups who have not yet heard the Good News of Jesus Christ. While we support the continuing work of discipleship and equipping the saints where there is an established church, the priority of missions at Grace Central Coast is to unreached people groups and areas of the world where the gospel has yet to be proclaimed (Romans 15:20). The Great Commission directs us to make disciples of all nations. We are told in Scripture that Jesus, the Lamb of God, has purchased with his blood people from every tribe, tongue, people and nation for God (Romans 5:9, 7:9). Further, we seek the development of indigenous Christian leaders who will plant churches that are faithful to the Scripture but are also relevant to its cultural and national context.

It is our goal to identify, equip and send believers into the world to accomplish the task of making disciples.  This happens in many different ways, from local ministry to international partnerships in other countries.  It takes place in our day- to-day relationships and special local ministry efforts, and from short-term missions experiences to those who sense the call to serve in other countries as career calling.  We desire to help members of Grace better understand how their personal stories are a part of God’s grand story and how we can be used to reach the unreached and make disciples of Jesus Christ!
