SOMA: How the Church is a Body, not a Building

SOMA = body. Throughout the New Testament, the church is repeatedly called the 'body of Christ.'  It's a great reminder: the church is not a building, but a body.  But what does that mean?  As we begin our new season of ministry at Grace Central Coast, we'll explore this oft-used metaphor as a way of leaning into our life together as a church.

Committed

Tim Theule | Colossians 3:12-17 | 9/29/2019

The church is a body, not a building!  We conclude our SOMA series with a look at Colossians 3:12-17 where we see that being the body means we're COMMITTED.

Growing

Ben Collins | Ephesians 4:1-16 | 9/22/2019

The church is a body, not a building!  This week in our SOMA series we explore Ephesians 4:1–16 and see how God is 'GROWING' the body as each member works together.

Gifted

Tim Theule | Romans 12:1-13 | 9/15/2019

The church is a body, not a building!  This week in our SOMA series we explore Romans 12:1-13 and see how each member of the body is 'GIFTED' by God to serve.

Connected

Tim Theule | 1 Corinthians 12:12-27 | 9/8/2019
